Enshrouded is an action RPG that emphasizes cooperative survival and crafting. You're in a kingdom overwhelmed by a malevolent fog known as the Shroud, where your goal is to stay alive, combat ferocious beasts and bosses, build impressive structures, and manipulate the landscape of your homestead. You can also customize your character with a vast array of gear and an expansive skill tree, and choose to brave the fog alone or with a group of companions to discover the mysteries behind the kingdom's collapse.

In the past, people recklessly mined for a mystical elixir, inadvertently releasing a destructive fog and twisted creatures from the earth's depths, leading to the downfall of the kingdom. Before all was lost, a handful of warriors were put into a deep sleep to await a time when they could rise and fight again – that time is now.

Enshrouded offers a cooperative multiplayer experience online. While you can engage with the game solo or offline, the adventure becomes more enjoyable with the company of friends, up to a group of 16, as you venture into the Shroud together.

The game will initially launch on Steam Early Access, with plans to expand to other platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S once the game is fully developed.

Enshrouded is powered by the Holistic engine, which we developed in-house to specifically meet the needs of this game and ensure optimal performance.

Dedicated servers can be set up for those who prefer not to be online 24/7 for friends to join the game. Our knowledge base offers comprehensive information on multiplayer and server hosting. Additionally, we've partnered with GPortal to provide in-game server rental options, and you can also explore renting servers from other providers of your choice.

Upon its Early Access release, Enshrouded will support a variety of languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Currently, there is no PvP mode in Enshrouded, and we have no plans to introduce one. We believe that the cooperative nature of the game enhances the fun and camaraderie among players. While it's a possibility, we're not certain about adding any PvP elements in the future.

While we utilize procedural generation tools to craft the game's map, we then take a hands-on approach to refine and detail the world, ensuring a crafted and immersive experience that is both thrilling and visually stunning.

Mods are an incredible way to enhance a game, and while we can't承诺 that Enshrouded will be moddable at this time, it's something we're keen on considering for the future to keep the game experience fresh and dynamic.

For now, enemies in Enshrouded focus on attacking players rather than their bases or homes. However, player feedback post-Early Access may influence changes to this aspect of the game.

Due to significant improvements made to our save system during development, saves from previous Alpha, Beta, and Demo versions are not compatible with the Early Access version of Enshrouded.

As of now, there are no plans for additional public testing. Should this change, we will promptly inform our community via Discord and our newsletter, so staying subscribed is recommended.

You're more than welcome to take your favorite character across different servers. Your character will retain all equipment, inventory, levels, and unlocked skills. Additionally, you'll maintain map knowledge, personal crafting recipes, collected Shroud roots, discovered lore texts, and personally found towers. However, you won't carry over most crafting recipes, available NPCs for summoning, or towers found by others and shared within the group.
